Refund policy

By purchasing from Nicchia Boutique, you agree to our Returns and Exchanges policy. Please also refer to our Terms of Trade for further information.

Returns Policy

We want you to love your Nicchia Boutique purchases, but as a boutique retailer, we ask that you choose carefully, particularly when shopping in-store.

In-Store Purchases

We do not offer returns, refunds, or exchanges for change-of-mind purchases made in-store.

Online Purchases

If purchasing online and the item does not fit:

  • You may return it within 10 days of receipt, in its original, unused condition with proof of purchase.
  • We will provide an exchange, store credit, or refund if a suitable replacement size is not available.
  • Shipping costs are not refundable and will be deducted from any refund amount.
  • Return shipping is at the customer’s expense unless the item is faulty.

Returns Criteria (Online Only)

To be eligible for a return:

  • Items must be unworn, unused, and in original packaging.
  • Items must be returned within 10 days of receiving the order.
  • You must include proof of purchase.
  • Items must be sent via a trackable courier, as we are not responsible for lost parcels.

Items Not Eligible for Return or Exchange

Due to hygiene or safety reasons, no returns or exchanges are accepted (in-store or online) for:

  • Jewellery (including earrings)
  • Cosmetics & beauty products
  • Fragrances
  • Bedding & linen
  • Gift cards
  • Final sale/marked-down items

Faulty or Incorrect Items

We comply with the New Zealand Consumer Guarantees Act (CGA).

If your item is faulty, we will assess it and, if confirmed:

  • Repair, replace, or if neither is available, refund you in full.

Please note:

  • Faults believed to be the result of misuse, wear and tear, or not following care instructions may be declined and returned to the supplier for review.
  • Suspected damage that appears inconsistent with standard use may be returned without refund.
  • Shipping damage must be reported within 48 hours of receipt, with photos sent to kirstin@nicchiaboutique.co.nz.

If an item is deemed faulty, return shipping will be reimbursed.

Exchanges (Online Orders Only)

To request an exchange:

  • Contact us within 10 days of receiving your item.
  • You are responsible for the return shipping.
  • We will send the exchanged item at no extra charge (unless otherwise stated).

Gift Returns

Gifted items can be returned for store credit or exchange, following the same online returns criteria. An order number or proof of purchase is required.

Processing Time

We aim to process returns and exchanges as quickly as possible. Please allow:

  • Up to 7 working days for faulty assessments
  • 3-5 working days for standard return processing

You will receive an email confirmation once your return has been processed.

Sign-Up Discount

Our sign-up discount is available for online customers only. It does not apply to in-store purchases.
